MY STORY

rs=w-1200,h-1600,cg-true.webp

Danny Minton was raised in a conservative, working-class family in Oklahoma, where faith, hard work, and personal responsibility weren’t just values, they were lived every day. His parents taught him to show compassion to his neighbors, stand up for what’s right, and never stop asking the tough questions. Those lessons shaped the man he is today.

For many years, Danny proudly identified as a Republican. But as he watched the party shift away from core principles of decency and service, he experienced a moral reckoning: the values he learned at home,  love of neighbor, care for the vulnerable, and basic human dignity were better reflected in the Democratic Party. He chose not to stand on the sidelines, he chose to stand with working families.

Danny is running for Congress because he believes government should work as hard as the people it serves. He’s tired of the endless culture wars and partisan gridlock. He wants real solutions  for healthcare, for education, for economic opportunity, solutions that lift up all Texans, not just the wealthy or well-connected.

BUILT FOR THE WORKING CLASS

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Danny earned his degree in Zoology and pursued advanced studies in epidemiology. He spent years working in the medical field as a consultative sales professional, training physicians and supporting patients facing devastating illnesses like breast cancer and Alzheimer’s. That experience gave him a deep understanding of how healthcare actually works, and where it fails everyday Americans.

Today, Danny lives in Arlington, Texas, with his wife Christina, a veterinarian he describes as “the best in the state.” They are raising two sons: Maximus, a student at James Martin High School, and Flash, an aviation major at Angelo State University.
